Aims and objectives
The Society aims to maintain, defend and promote the Catholic Faith as received by the Church of England.
The Society was founded to aquire and to administer the patronage of parishes. The Society owns the advowson (the right of presentation) to some eighty-five parishes and exercises its rights and responsibilities either solely or jointly. A full list of the parishes can be found in the section Parishes.
The Society also supports those parishes under its patronage with grants, usually for repairs or improvements to the fabric of the church, or occasionally for other parish initiatives. The Society can often provide independent advice to its parishes or incumbents. Officers are always willing to accept invitations to preach or to visit in support of other parish events and to give whatever assistance may be appropriate.
